OUR MISSION

ROCKNRECOVERY ™ Provides short term assistance for music professionals in times of need that have suffered a hardship. We act as a resource and an advocate in times of need and where applicable, provide the financial support. We achieve this through music, concerts, and events with the support of volunteers, musicians, entertainers, live event staff, and many other musical and entertainment professionals. We also strive to raise awareness for survivors on how to navigate such a difficult time by sharing our experiences and letting them know they are not alone. With our large family of entertainment professionals and volunteers, we are here to help connect them to the resources they need and get the assistance they require. ROCKNRECOVERY ™ strives to be a resource for the music community in a time of need and each case will be treated with integrity and confidentiality.

OUR INSPIRATION

On the night of April 2nd, 2014 at the Iridium Jazz Club in NYC, the life of Karl Cochran as well as many people in his life was rocked. Approximately 10 to 12 hours after that show Karl suffered a massive stroke.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States, and approximately 800,000 people per year have a stroke. On average, one American dies from a stroke every four minutes.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Short Term Assistance and Advocacy

ROCKNRECOVERY ™ may provide short term financial assistance and advocacy in times of need for a documented hardship that has arisen due to circumstances beyond the applicant's control. Funding may be awarded for immediate needs such as mortgage/rent, medical needs and other household and personal essentials.

Who We Serve

Music industry professionals such as musicians, studio and live engineers, producers, stagehands, and roadies.

Eligibility Requirements

Must have documented full time employment in the music or entertainment industry for at least one year.

Assistance Limitations

Before financial assistance is provided, applicants are required to investigate all other possible sources. All approved assistance is paid directly to a creditor/third party.
